A little history.

Originally, aristocrats organized banquets under the cherry blossoms, composing poems praising their fleeting beauty. Hanami gradually reached all levels of society to become a popular celebration. Japanese people gather each year with family, friends, and colleagues under the flowering trees to contemplate and honor their beauty. It is a time of sharing, reflection, and connection with nature.

Japanese cherry trees were brought to the West in the late 19th century during botanical exchanges with Japan. Today, the cherry blossom is an integral part of the collective imagination.
