OUR FRAGRANT RITUALS
All our creations are exclusive to Domaine Singulier. These are formulas (choice of ingredients, choice of combinations) that have been specially created for Domaine Singulier and that you will not find anywhere else.
Our home fragrances are for everyone - an ever-growing number of people: ◆ who love beautiful things and are sensitive to places and smells ◆ who can no longer stand artificial, ultra-synthetic, aggressive, tenacious, overpowering perfumes that saturate the air and the head ◆ who are looking for creations that cannot be found everywhere ◆ who are concerned about quality and prefer to buy less but better.
You choose quality, naturalness, expertise, and French manufacturing. Unique olfactory creations. Respectful formulas without unnecessary ingredients.
These are neither air fresheners nor simple mixtures of essential oils that one could create on one's own.
◆ Truly olfactory creations
Each fragrance is conceived and composed by a master perfumer, in the tradition of fine natural perfumery. We do not work with generic and inexpensive fragrance bases, but with genuine compositions, designed as signature scents in their own right.
◆ Formulas with over 99% natural origin
Our home fragrances are made from carefully selected natural ingredients
◆ Fragrances designed to enhance the air and everyday life
The compositions are designed to enhance the atmosphere, naturally neutralize unpleasant odors and provide an immediate feeling of relaxation or energy, depending on the chosen ritual.
Finally, you'll recognize them by their amber apothecary bottle , with its understated yet elegant design, adorned with the keyhole – the brand's emblem.
Oui.
There are a multitude of products available at very different prices. It's important to compare apples to apples... Cashmere costs more than wool or polyester...
Yes, our perfumes are more expensive than low-end perfumes, which are often simple mixtures of essential oils or synthetic ingredients, with components such as sunscreens.
With Domaine Singulier, you are choosing fine natural perfumery, exclusive and complex creations by master perfumers, handcrafted in small batches. Bottles you will be proud to show off and display.
Finally, our 100ml bottles cannot be compared with 50ml bottles, which are half the size and last for a much shorter time. It's just common sense.
Read our descriptions carefully. If you generally like very sweet, slightly fruity, gourmand fragrances, we recommend Eau Belles Toilettes with green almond, Bulgarian rose, and cedar. If you like fragrances that evoke the south, Provence, we recommend Eau Belles Toilettes with bergamot, jasmine, and violet leaves. Finally, if you prefer deeper, oriental, and botanical fragrances, we recommend the fragrance of Elixir Bien Elevé. Perfumer Eléonore de Staël also wanted the fragrances to blend in the air. If you're unsure, don't hesitate to contact us so we can guide you!
Yes. Our fragrances neutralize—they don't mask—odors associated with restrooms, as well as smells of dampness, mustiness, tobacco, and pets. You'll often find yourself wanting to use them simply to enhance the space and the moment, enveloping yourself in a feeling of well-being.
Our fragrances last on average 1 to 2 hours in a small room. A spray fragrance is not intended to last very long. Furthermore, natural ingredients are inherently more volatile: they offer airy olfactory sensations similar to those in a garden or forest.
A very persistent spray perfume in the air is usually an ultra-synthetic perfume, composed of synthetic mucus and fixatives.
If you are looking for a fragrance that lasts continuously, choose a reed diffuser.
Yes. Our perfumes are unisex. We have a mixed clientele and many devoted fans among men.
The Elixir Bien Élevé is a sophisticated and targeted gesture due to the use of the pipette. The fragrance diffuses gradually, gently and discreetly. You will place drops using the pipette on the rim of the toilet bowl, on the sink, the hand basin, on a small diffuser and why not a few drops in the vacuum cleaner bag. Eau Belles Toilettes comes in a spray bottle and allows for volume dispersion. The gesture is faster, the result more immediate. You will spray in the air of the toilet, the bathroom but also with pleasure in a bedroom, an entrance, an office, sheets or curtains (our perfumes do not stain). Read the precautions for use carefully.
The restroom is one of the most visited places in the house, by you and your guests. We pass through it on average 4 to 7 times a day... With Domaine Singulier, the restroom becomes a haven of sensory well-being for ourselves and those around us. Goodbye to ultra-chemical spray odors, goodbye to the stress of having to endure odors that bother us and leave an unglamorous trail behind us. Only the pleasure of a delicate, refined fragrance that relaxes and clears the mind. Is it a luxury? Perhaps, but an affordable luxury and far from useless.
NATURALNESS & INGREDIENTS
A natural perfume is often described as "alive," possessing an added soul. With our perfumes, you choose: ◆ fragrances with rich and complex nuances, which diffuse into the air with volume and lightness, like in a garden; ◆ perfumes composed of ingredients known for their natural benefits, both in the air and for emotional well-being. Natural lavender essence, for example, is known to purify the air and soothe the mind; ◆ a composition that is more respectful of your health and the environment, without ingredients (synthetic musk and fixatives) suspected of being endocrine disruptors.
At Domaine Singulier, we embrace nature in all its richness and complexity. Our green almond note doesn't exist in its pure form in nature. We create it by combining several natural ingredients to craft a subtle and comforting green almond accord . This is the art and magic of the master perfumer: composing, from natural materials, scents that evoke memories, images, or sensations that don't always exist as pure ingredients.
It is a perfume whose concentrate is composed entirely or in its very great majority of ingredients of natural origin. The creation of a natural perfume requires a great deal of mastery and know-how that only a few master perfumers master with art. Please note: since alcohol is included, some brands claim the naturalness of their perfumes (at 85 or 95% in general) thanks to the presence of vegetable alcohol.... In a truly natural perfume you will not find, for example, synthetic musks, synthetic fixing agents, sunscreens. At Domaine Singulier, our perfumes are more than 99% natural.
The first key is found… on the label.
Check the ingredients list and the percentage of natural ingredients when it's provided, which isn't always the case. Keep in mind that a percentage of natural ingredients at 85% or 90% means that the rest of the composition is synthetic and that it's likely the base that's plant-based, not the fragrance concentrate.

Beware of vague claims. If the ingredients are not listed, or are limited to vague promises (“naturally sourced alcohol” without further details), ask questions – or move on.
Read the INCI list. Even if it may seem technical, it must remain accessible and consistent with the promise: Latin names of plants, identifiable aromatic components, and not an almost exclusive succession of synthetic molecules.
At Domaine Singulier, we provide detailed information about our ingredients and explain our formulation choices, so you know exactly what you're spraying at home. What you won't know, however, is the complete list of components in the perfume concentrate—a secret of creation and formulation that gives our perfumes their unique character.
We could obtain organic certification for our fragrance rituals because our formulas do indeed meet the requirements for organic labeling. However, obtaining and using the label requires a specific procedure and financial commitment. We prefer to focus on other priorities for the time being, even though we appreciate these labels.
In perfumery/cosmetics:
🔹 A natural ingredient is derived directly from a natural raw material (plant, flower, fruit, leaf, resin, etc.). It is obtained through processes such as distillation, extraction, or pressing, without major chemical transformation of the molecule.
🔹 A naturally derived ingredient also comes from natural raw materials, but has been chemically transformed . This is the case, for example, with certain molecules derived from vegetable fatty acids or, for example, coumarin obtained from tonka beans.
🔹 A synthetic ingredient does not come directly from a natural raw material. It is manufactured through chemical synthesis from basic raw materials (often derived from petrochemicals, sometimes, very rarely, from processed plant resources). It allows for the reproduction of a scent, preservation, stabilization, coloring, or texturization of a formula. Some of these molecules mimic scents found in nature but are produced in a laboratory. Synthetic vanillin, which is also very common in the food industry, is a good example.
A synthetic ingredient can be reproduced very consistently , almost identically from one batch to the next. Conversely, a natural or naturally derived ingredient is less linear and more complex : its composition depends on the soil, the sunshine, the rain, the time of harvest… This is also what gives it its richness, complexity, and uniqueness. That's why we love them at Domaine Singulier.
Truly natural perfumes are composed primarily of raw materials derived from plants: essential oils, absolutes, resins, extracts… The alcohol or other base is natural. The perfume concentrate is also natural.
Synthetic perfumes use, in whole or in part, molecules created in the laboratory in a way that can be reproduced infinitely. Some are identical replicas of molecules found in nature (such as synthetic coumarin, for example), while others allow the creation of scents that do not exist as such in the plant world. Lilac and lily of the valley, for example, are not molecules that exist naturally.
Chemically, the same molecule (for example, coumarin) can exist in a naturally occurring or synthetic form: what changes is its origin. The sensations and benefits will also differ.
At Domaine Singulier, we make the choice and the bet on nature and a perfumery with more than 99% natural origin , real exclusive creations designed and signed by a master perfumer exclusively for Domaine Singulier.
The alcohol used in perfume is not, in itself, considered toxic under normal conditions of use. It possesses remarkable properties: it preserves the aromatic ingredients, dissolves them, and promotes their diffusion in the air.
At Domaine Singulier, we have chosen an organic wheat alcohol, Ecocert certified, compliant with current European regulations.
As with any product containing alcohol, some essential precautions are necessary: do not spray towards the eyes or on mucous membranes, do not use near a flame or heat source, and ventilate your home regularly.
Denatured alcohol is alcohol containing a bitter substance, making the perfume undrinkable, as required by European regulations. At Domaine Singulier, we chose an organic French wheat alcohol denatured with Bitrex (the world's most bitter ingredient) and certified by Ecocert. A base that is phthalate-free and free of irritating glycols.
ABOUT ALLERGENS & OTHER INGREDIENTS
No, our perfumes are not formulated with ingredients identified or suspected of acting as endocrine disruptors.
Out of personal conviction, we have chosen to go beyond regulatory requirements by excluding certain ingredients from our formulas. Therefore, our perfumes do not contain:
✅ No phthalates used as fixatives or colorants (some forms are suspected of being endocrine disruptors),
✅ No parabens or controversial antioxidants like BHA/BHT,
✅ no controversial UV filter, which we consider unnecessary in a home fragrance, especially since the opaque bottle already protects the formula from light.
Finally, we favour natural and naturally sourced ingredients and, whenever possible, those from organic farming , while strictly respecting European regulations.
No perfume can claim to be 0% allergen-free. It's like saying life can be 0% risk-free...
Like all natural or conventional perfumes, our creations may contain sensitizing substances known as allergens, which are naturally present in essential oils and in nature. Their presence is required to be listed in the INCI list when it exceeds a certain threshold (more than 0.001% in the finished product), in accordance with European regulations, among the strictest in the world. This allows consumers to identify them (as with nuts in food) if they are sensitive or allergic to certain components.
Here is a list of potentially allergenic natural molecules that you may find in some of our scented rituals and soaps. These are the same molecules you might encounter while walking in a garden, meadow, or forest, smelling a bouquet of flowers, or peeling a citrus fruit. These molecules contribute to giving our fragrances their character and sometimes unique properties.
Linalool, which is naturally present in lavandin, true lavender, rosewood, coriander, basil, and certain citrus fruits.
Citral, which is naturally present in lemon verbena, lemongrass, lemon grass, lemon peel and lime
Limonene - which is naturally present in orange peel, lemon peel, mandarin, grapefruit, but also in resins and conifer needles.
Geraniol - which is naturally present in rose, rose geranium, palmarosa, lemongrass, chamomile.
Linalyl acetate, which is naturally present in lavender, lavandin, bergamot, and clary sage.
We encourage you to carefully read the ingredients list and usage instructions for our products. If you have any questions, please consult your doctor or allergist.
We also recommend – regardless of the fragrance – that you regularly ventilate your home by opening the windows to refresh the air. This is an essential hygiene and health rule.
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Here are the essential precautions for use.
– Keep products out of reach of children.
– Like all perfumes containing alcohol, our perfumes have highly flammable liquids: keep the bottle away from heat, flames, sparks and direct sunlight.
– Avoid all contact with eyes. In case of contact, rinse immediately and thoroughly with clean water.
Read the ingredients carefully, especially the list of potential allergens.
If you have any doubts related to your personal situation (allergic predisposition, respiratory pathology, pregnancy, etc.), seek advice from your doctor and/or allergist.
Our fragrances are designed as home fragrances . They comply with the regulations applicable to this product category. They have not been specifically tested for use during pregnancy or with infants .
As a precaution, we recommend:
-
to use perfumes in moderation during pregnancy,
to ventilate the room regularly
not to spray perfume directly in a baby's room
Pregnancy is also a time when your sense of smell can change, when you may like or dislike certain smells.
If in doubt, we encourage you to seek the advice of your healthcare professional , who will be able to advise you according to your personal situation.
PRACTICAL TIPS & MISCELLANEOUS
You can spray them in a bedroom to enhance and purify the space, creating a moment conducive to well-being, for example, before the arrival of guests. However, remember to air the room regularly, ideally in the morning and evening, and at least 10 minutes before bedtime—an essential hygiene and health practice.
Although our perfumes do not have any particular contraindications, they are primarily home fragrances , which have not been specifically formulated for animals.
You can use them in a room where your pets are, simply making sure to:
-
Avoid spraying perfume when they are directly beneath the cloud of perfume, as this might displease them.
Never spray directly on the animal
To date, we have not received any feedback from our customers who have dogs or cats.
If in doubt, do not hesitate to ask your veterinarian for advice, as they are best placed to guide you.
Our perfumes can be kept and used for over three years, provided the cap is tightly closed and they are stored in a cool, dry place. We have chosen amber bottles, which protect the formulas from light and oxidation, thus preserving their quality over time without the need for added sunscreens, preservatives, or antioxidants. Furthermore, like a fine wine or spirit, perfumes composed of natural ingredients and plant-based alcohol evolve over time, improving, developing a patina, and revealing new facets of their character.
When the match head ignites, it releases a strong-smelling smoke that very briefly masks other odors. It's no longer pure sulfur as it once was (now prohibited), but the principle remains the same: a pungent odor that overpowers everything else.
Admit it, it's not the most practical, pleasant, safe, glamorous, or discreet gesture in the world…
If you are still a fan of this method, choose your matches carefully: most are not of high quality and contain glue, dyes or paraffin wax which, when burning, diffuse into the air.
And most importantly, remember to turn them off completely and don't throw them in the toilet bowl. :)
